Season Opener

Tonights the night...after a long fought preseason and a month of practice we're ready to get the season started! The Season opener is tonight at Ottawa University (KS) at 7:30 PM...if you can't attend but want to listen in, you may do so at www.jewell.edu, go to the Athletic Website and log on to the WJCSN...or you may dial up 816-410-7959 and listen in the play-by-play of Rick Cole...our women also open tonight at Ottawa at 5:30 and their game will be broadcast as well...on the men's side, Ottawa has reached the 'Sweet Sixteen' of the last two NAIA Division II National Tournaments in Branson...the injury bug has hit us as one of our top freshmen is out (Kroeker) and one is doubtful (Mattson)...one returning starter (Bernskoetter) is also questionable...the probable starting line-up will have 2 returnees (Fisher, Benson), one transfer (Larson) and two freshmen (Carmichael and Morris)...should be fun...if you can't be there please listen in and help us make this day, and every day, a GREAT day to be a CARDINAL !!!
